it's beginning to look alot like........

Christmas! so, this isn't exactly what mese posted but i'll list all the things i love about this time of year, & what i'm grateful for.(in no particular order)

*my family and friends-i am truly blessed to have so many people in my life that i love,and that love me.i don't always show it but i love each and every one of you.if it weren't for such wonderful,amazing people in my life i would not be the person i am today.with that in mind-thank you from the bottom of my heart,and i love you.

*finding something that i know someone would love and seeing the smile on their face knowing that it's something they really wanted-especially my nieces & nephews.their beautiful little faces just make me love being an auntie.

*lights!lights!lights!

*wearing a beanie or scarf-well, anywhere but cali apparently.86 degrees in december?what the crap is that about:)

*having our annual "tempura"night with my siblings at our house a week or so before everyone scatters to the in-laws

*decorating the christmas tree and house

*making treats with my sisters to give out to people

*listening to aaron nevilles christmas cd-it's my favorite one

*going to church on that christmas sunday-it's the best:music,spirit,just love it all

*remembering the birth of our savior and knowing what a blessing that sweet little baby is in our lives.what would it have been like to be there on that night?!gratitude,love,joy,hope,and many other words can be used to describe the spirit that is felt during the christmas season

i just wanted to write and say how grateful i am for such an awesome family,and for great friends.i have been truly blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love me,and who are there whenever i need them.sometimes i lose sight of the big picture,and i forget about those things that matter most in life.it is a blessing to know and feel of peoples love.life isn't always easy, but i think that's why heavenly father puts people in our lives-to walk with us when we feel like we can't go another inch.i love each and every one of you.thank you for loving me-that means more to me than i could ever write in words.

MY TEST! i was so stressed about it,but i passed.i felt like i could finally breathe.anyway,so what does this mean?well,it means that when you all come and visit me at my lovely school i will be able to work on you...hooray!anyway,wanted to share the good news!i'm off to bed!see you all on saturday at the luau......my other stress:)

my so called life

well,i'm updating my blog once again.school is fantastic.next week i'll be taking a pretty huge test-it's called a "mock board."it's basically a test we have to take in order to get licensed,but they call it "mock"because it's to help prep us for the real deal.anyway,we have to pass our "mock"in order to start working with clients.i feel ok not 100% about it,but i'm just going to keep practicing,and praying.baby steps.anyway,i've learned to tweeze eyebrows,wax eyebrows,upper lips,legs,arms,hairlines,pretty much anything that can be waxed i can do.we are learning how to do a european facial,which lasts anywhere from 30 mins to an hour,and also a bakc facial-which is basically a back massage.i'm super excited.i get to learn more and more everyday,and i'm loving it.i really feel like i'm doing what i'm suppose to be,and it's awesome.so, give me another week or 2 and you all will be able to come in and get work done.by the way,every third saturday of the month is "family & friends" day.that means everyone in the school can bring their family & friends in and they get services for half off.it's better to make appts ahead of time,but i will definately let you all know when,where,and the digits.thanks to everyone for being so supportive and encouraging.i really do appreciate and luv you all! i'll blog again next week!

milan,rome,paris????????......

so,i thought i would blog a little about my adventures at school since i have time today(it's my day off).so far, "taleula" a.ka. "ralph macheo",my dollhead, has gotten close to 50 facials.we can't practice on real people for 2 weeks so the dollhead is sufficient for now.my doll has two names because when i'm frustrated it's "ralph"but on my good days,she's simply "taleula."i gave nia a facial and she enjoyed it alot.so,safe to say that my very first client was completely satisfied.so far i've learned how to give facials,tweezing & waxing eyebrows.there's so much more to learn,but am really EXCITED to learn everything else.
so,the reason i named my blog it's tittle is because i met a new friend at school.any guesses on HIS name?yep, PARIS!he's a cosmotologist and does amazing hair,and has incredible make-up.anyway,he's the highlight of school for pretty much everyone.he's got a purple mullet,yes mullet,and the prettiest makeup you probably ever have seen on a boy.he wears skinny jeans,and stilleto boots,and i FABULOUS!anyway, just thought you'd want to know all about the wonderful world of school at SALON SUCCESS!
i'll let everyone know when they should swing by and get some work done.i promise i'll do a great job!oh and F.Y.I. i aced my first test....hooray:)

TUESDAY HERE I FREAKIN COME:)

so, i am so EXCITED because i start school on tuesday.i've been waiting for this day to get here,and it will.......soon:)of course i'm a little nervous,but that'll go away.i'll have to let everyone know how it goes after the first day-wish me luck!

so yesterday we were talking about blogs,& i agree with Johanna-we all aren't very good at updating.So,this is my attempt to try to blog more often. I realized that i didn't exactly clarify what i was going to school for-i'm going to cosmetology school to be an estetician(i think i spelled it right)anyway, i've been there a few times just trying to fill out last minute paperwork,and to get my school uniform-well,shirts to wear there.you better believe i will be calling all of you to help me out.my schedule will be pretty chill tues-sat 8:30-3:30.i'm SUPER excited!so, i'll keep everyone posted on my new career...oh what fun:)

Oh blah dee oh blah dah life goes on........

so it's offical as of last week friday.i quite my job,and am now on my way to start school.i'm so excited.i won't be starting for a couple weeks but i can't wait.it's a little nerve wrecking because i'm starting new,but i am really looking forward to my new career path.and oh,don't think i won't be calling any of you to be my guinea pigs.i really am grateful for my family and friends who are helping me,and who are a great support.so,for the next few months i'll be a busy girl,but it'll be well worth it!

Parenthood 101

nia & i are watching melina and masons kids while they are enjoying beautiful hawaii.i've decided to post what i've learned so far during these past few days.here goes:

1.i firmly believe patience is a character in a person-one of which i do NOT have,but really need to work on
2.being PUNCTUAL is not always possible-you can try,but it's not always possible
3.there's learning experience in EVERYTHING
4.the volume switch on the car radio works well when crying is conducted in the back seat;) j/k
5.the house isn't always clean,but you know it's lived in by 3 beautiful,crazy kids
6.it's much easier to back the car in the driveway so it's good to go for the next day
7.TREATS are yummy-especially if you're the one spoiling them:)
8.MUSIC is AWESOME!
9.6:15 AM is way too early for someone to be up especially if they went to bed at10:30PM!
10.it hasn't been easy,but when nani yells my name when i walk through the front door,or sila tells me that my hair looks cute,or mese wants to lay next to me on the couch,it out weighs all the "tough" times.i love my nieces and nephews-crazy and all:)

So nia and i met up with our friends at walmart to wait for "breaking dawn."i didn't buy it but my friend did, so she'll tell me all the good stuff.i can't wait to see what happens and the movie.....whoohoo.we should get a group of us to go watch it when it comes out.can't wait!

DANCE! DANCE!

it's finally here...the dance festival.at first i wasn't sure what i had gotten myself into,but i have to tell you it's all been worth it.it amazes me how awesome the church is. the thought of getting 2500 youth together all for one cause,learning dances they didn't know,and practing for hours is just great.they(along with the leaders)have put alot of time,sweat,and effort into this,and i know that it's going to be an amazing experience for all of us.it's a blessing to know that there is good in this world.i hope you all can make it,and if you can't then i'm sure it'll be on youtube.i'll probably not write again until the weekend,but wish us all luck...we're gonna get our "dance"on!

girls will be girls

so us girls(charity,nia,joy,telese,& diva) are all heading out to the ysa dance in riverside tomorrow.it's always fun when you go with your gal pals.it's funny because my gal pals are either single like the ones i roll with,or all married like the ones i chill with.either way i love all my girls....so i'll update sat or sun on how the dance went.hopefully i'll have a fun story to tell. hope you all have great weekends,and be safe....happy blogging:)

really funky tan line on my face.i was at rancho verde high school for a zone dance rehearsal.i was in charge of the beehives(all 6 stakes worth),and i had to wear my "V.I.P." status shirt(not really...)anyway it was so flippin hot, so of course i had to wear my cute big
sunglasses......now i have a funky tan line.anyway, just wanted to share my EXCITING news with all of you.

so as i was talking with jayme and johanna i decided that maybe i should "blog"more often...funny thing is i see most of you throughout the week:)anyway,to update you all on my life, i still work at beaver,but will be leaving there soon because i will be starting school hopefully in september.yours truly will be going to school to be a makeup artist/estitician(i think i spelled that wrong).anyway,i'm really excited to finally be doing something i enjoy.

as for the rest of my life i am still SINGLE,and looking:) i really don't have a particular preference-just as long as i'm attracted to that guy,and vice versa.anyway, i hope everyone is doing great.it was awesome to hangout with the frandsens this past weekend.christine seriously if you ever read this you should really dress lucy up in a big fluffy yellow dress,and with a big white headband with an attached bow:) happy trails.....

updating my life

well,i figured i should update my blog since i haven't in a while.i'm sitting on my sisters couch trying to get better.i feel better than i did yesterday.i was running a fever, and felt like crap so i came home early from work. i slept if off for a few hours,and figured i'd be ok after that.should have known that that wasn't the case.i decided that it was too late to cancel dance practice so i went anyway.(not a wise choice at all)anyway, i had to leave early so as soon as i got out to the parking lot i felt like i was going to barf.....and i did.disgusting?yes,but it was either the parking lot or my car.so, sad to say someone probably got a friendly little suprise when they walked out to their car.
on a happier note my cousin(who got married on april 12th)just text me a picture of a sign that said "new york city."she and her husband bryce are moving to conneticut for the next few months for his job.they drove from utah,and each time they pass something cool she either texts or sends a video message.seems like he hasn't driven her crazy yet:)
well, there's plenty more to talk about i just can't think of what.maybe i'll write more this weekend.until then have a great weekend and enjoy your family,and friends.
